Born Ajagunna Ayooluwa Silas, he got his stagename "Cute" from his female friends and fans back in college because his tall physique and goodlooks. He switched up the brandname from "Cute" to "Qute" as his stage name, using Q instead of C but same meaning because he make beautiful music that will stand the test of time. Qute also has interests in Fashion, Nightlife and Tech.
He started music early in life and has been around it pretty much all his life. His early influence in life include Joe, Maxwell, musiqsoulchild, D'angelo, R.kelly, Usher, Toni Braxton, Ginuwine, Donell Jones and Brandy.
