If it is created in the heart of Paris, the music of Catapult The Rhino rather finds its inspiration under the California sun, somewhere between the freshness of the coast and the heat of the desert. Far from imitating those who influence them (Queens Of The Stone Age, Rage Against The Machine, Wallace Vanborn), the band delivers its own sound: an alternative rock with stoner accents, which mixes saturated guitars and massive rhythms, dynamic and crepuscular melodies, all led by a powerful and intense voice.
« Without ever falling into caricature, which for some seems inevitable when it comes about stoner, the band manages to get off the marked trails. Here, the references are much more subtle and diverse [...] Catapult The Rhino knows also to venture towards more experimental sounds and constructions without ever loosing the listener. A promising and ultra refreshing band. »

In ten years of existence, Catapult The Rhino has never stopped refining its musical identity. Rather Diesel than Gasoline, the band is moving forwards at its own pace: with patience and passion. In 2018 the band released a first EP, discrete but warmly welcomed. Following this, the new EP T(h)en, produced and mixed by Léonard Mule at the Studio du Poisson Barbu in Paris, aims to be more accomplished and mature. The lyrics are more personal, some show their experience, both fragile and exhilarating, as an independent band from the Parisian scene. The music invites you to drive on a desert road, on sunset with open windowsA trip in a Shelby Van rather than a Ford Mustang.
