Matheus Gomes Lima is a Brazilian singer and songwriter from São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro. He co-founded the pop-rock band Elefantes Voadores, where he served as lead vocalist and guitarist from its inception in 2015 until its dissolution in 2023. His compositions have surpassed 40,000 streams across platforms, and he has performed countless shows and seen his work featured on radio stations, on "Canal Riff" (YouTube), and on the program "Mais Você" (TV Globo).
Now pursuing a solo career, Matheus presents his fifth single, the sultry "Marataízes." With an interweaving of acoustic guitar, brass, and percussion, the song exudes a Brazilian spirit that pays homage to Tim Maia, Lenine, and Paralamas. At the same time, the song pays homage to the state of Espírito Santo, a prominent figure in his imagination.
The single is part of the album "Carnaval," due out in the second half of 2025.
