Richard Andrew Conte, known professionally as Outasight, was born on February 17, 1983, in Yonkers, New York. He is an American singer and rapper who began his musical journey at a young age, receiving a guitar from his father at nine years old and starting to write rhymes and sing around the age of ten. Outasight's early career involved performing at small venues in New York City such as the Bowery Poetry Club and the Nuyorican Café. His breakthrough moment came with the release of his first mixtape, Employee of the Year (2007), which led to performances at major events like the 2007 Hip-hop festival alongside acts such as Ghostface Killah. In October 2009, Outasight signed with Warner Bros. Records and released his debut full-length studio album, Nights Like These, on November 23, 2012. The album featured the platinum-selling single "Tonight Is the Night", which was prominently used in a Pepsi commercial and as the theme for the 1000th episode of WWE Monday Night RAW. Outasight's subsequent albums include Big Trouble (2015), Richie (2017), and Future Vintage Soul (2018). Notable singles from these albums include "The Wild Life", which was featured in the Bud Light Lime & Mountain Dew summer campaigns, and "Do Something Crazy", included in the soundtracks of films like Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Outasight also launched his own record label, RPM MSC, in 2015. Jamz, his fifth full-length album, arrived in 2021 and was followed by Banners, released via 83 Sounds in 2023.
