Mariel Semonte Orr (November 4, 1987) was an American hip-hop artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Part of the city’s long history of influential rap artists, Trouble started rapping at the young age of 14. He made his debut with the mixtape December 17th, which he released in 2011. It was followed by Green Light later that year. These releases brought him the attention of the specialized press, and he was soon included in Complex magazine’s list of 15 New Rappers to Watch Out For. Over the following years, Trouble continued releasing EPs such as The Return of December 17th and All on Me, as well as making guest appearances on the work of artists such as Lupe Fiasco and YFN Lucci. In 2017, Trouble signed a record deal with producer Mike Will Made It’s record label Ear Drummer Records and Interscope Records. In 2018, Trouble took a strong step forward with the release of his debut full-length studio album Edgewood. Produced by Mike Will Made It, Edgewood was Trouble’s first charting release, peaking at Number 130 on the Billboard 200 chart. This was followed by the album Thug Luv in 2020. On June 5, 2022, Trouble passed away after being shot during a home invasion incident.
