Crystal Stilts, an American post-punk band formed in 2003, originated from Brooklyn, New York City, with founding members Brad Hargett and JB Townsend hailing from Florida. The group began by releasing a single and an EP before expanding to five members. In 2008, Crystal Stilts signed to Slumberland Records and Angular Recording Corporation, debuting with the album Alight of Night. They performed at the Pitchfork stage during the 2009 Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona. Following touring periods and hiatuses, the band returned in 2011 with the LP In Love With Oblivion and later released the EP Radiant Door. The group's discography includes notable songs such as "Departure" and "Love Is a Wave". Their third album, Nature Noir, was released in 2013, marking an expansion into soul, country, and folk genres.
