Tyga Bankz is a genre-defying South African DJ and music producer pioneering a fresh wave of Amapiano. From his early days as a church drummer in Klerksdorp to electrifying Pretoria’s club scene, he’s evolved into a key figure in the genre. Formerly The Wrecking Crew (TWC) member and A-Reece’s tour DJ (2017–2019), he’s worked with industry heavyweights like Mr JazziQ, Focalistic, and JazzWorx. Following the success of tracks like Letenas, Bamthelele, and HG, Tyga Bankz returns with his 2025 single YEYII (dropping July 11) and is gearing up for another release, Asambeni, later this year — signalling a bold new chapter in his sound.
