Born to a Brazilian mother in Miami, Anakelly has being bouncing to the swinging beats of bossa nova since she was a child. Her career took off when she was invited to participate in the multiplatinum album Bossa N' Stones (Limited Edition) with a very special version of Under My Thumb, one of the album’s singles and most played tracks. It was there that she met and befriended Michelle Simonal and Stella Starlight Trio who she says is one of her favorite jazz acts. Her love of all things reggae landed her a spot on the subsequent album of the series and she has been crooning ever since. As she grew into her voice, Anakelly has recorded several of her own albums and now happiest when accompanied by a pianist who allows her voice to shine and transport us. Anakelly has also toured recently, playing classics from her two volume album Timeless (Piano & Vocal). Her version of Mad World is beauty in simplicity personified and not to be missed.
