Sarah will perform live July 3, 2019, at the Rockwood Music Hall
Born in Ireland from an Irish mother and an Indian father, Sarah Packiam was raised with a multicultural and biracial identity. Her father was a blues guitarist, her inspiration for picking up the guitar. Her mother, a poet, the driving force behind Sarah’s songwriting. Over the years, her experience as a biracial female artist has motivated her to promote and support diversity and, more specifically, other female artists. On International Women’s Day, Sarah’s latest track, “She’s a Riot,” was released in honor of women who have paved the way for current and future generations. This summer, Sarah will release “Love Yourself,” a song inspiring others to embrace their uniqueness, and will be promoted in part through the impelling craft of female visual artists. Ultimately, her desire is to spread her message of positivity and female empowerment, with a touch of pop, funk, and rock and roll, in a society where divisiveness has taken deep roots.
