A bonafide pop superstar in both her native Belgium and Turkey, singer and TV host Hadise was discovered in the early aughts on the Belgian music competition Idool, the Flemish version of the British Pop Idol series. Born Hadise Dinçerler Açıkgöz on October 22, 1985, in the city of Mol, she signed up for the show at the age of 18 and quickly became one of the audience favorites. Despite being eliminated in the semi-finals, her participation in the program helped her get noticed and land a record deal with 2 Brain Records. Released in 2005, her studio debut Sweat climbed to Number 52 on the Ultratop charts and was even more successful in Turkey, where it hit Number 15 thanks to the astounding success of singles like "Stir Me Up" and "Bad Boy." Recorded between Belgium, France, Turkey, and Italy, her second eponymous LP appeared in 2008 and reached Number 2 in Turkey and Number 19 in Belgium. It was preceded by the chart-topping club anthem "A Good Kiss," later re-released in Turkey under the name "Deli Oğlan." In 2009, Hadise represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow with the track "Düm Tek Tek," placing fourth behind Norway, Iceland and Azerbaijan. Her first single to simultaneously top the charts in both Belgium and Turkey, "Düm Tek Tek" was also included in her third full-length Fast Life as well as in her first Turkish-language album, Kahraman. Since then, Hadise has been focusing her efforts on the Turkish market with albums like Aşk Kaç Beden Giyer? (2011), Tavsiye (2014), and Şampiyon (2017). In 2021, her song "Hay Hay" hit Number 1 on the Turkish charts and was followed by the Murda collaborative single "Imdat" (2022), which bowed at Number 17 on the Billboard Turkey Songs chart.
