Vera Vinter is an artist and songwriter from Stora Lappträsk, north bothnia, Sweden. She debuted in 2012 with the acclaimed album "Idyll" and has released five self-written, full-length albums, written and toured with some of Sweden's top artists. A recurring theme in her lyrics is nature, the interpersonal, folk beliefs and mysticism in rural areas. With her voice she creates her own musical universe with productions consisting of sound worlds of guitars, acoustic sounds, field recordings, violin and dark tones and rhythms. In her music, she mixes lyrics in Swedish and the out dying dialect Kalixmål. With a quiet, poetic primordial power, she talks about how we feel when we trudge on asphalt instead of moss. Her upbringing on an agricultural and forestry farm in the village of Stora Lappträsk (fifteen inhabitants) is a foundation in her music which by reviewers gave her the epithet "A true narrator".
