Orbits is a Melbourne-based eclectic sound and vision project by creative makers Warwick JW Smith, Sam Crocket, and Sam McCusker. They are mostly known for building improvised layers and textures to produce an eclectic mix of styles that fall into the realms of post-punk, kraut-rock, ambient, psychedelic, shoegaze, and drone-pop.
Their music up until now is often dispersed with Smith's distant vocal lines to create a unique sound – moving between shoegaze, kraut-rock, and psychedelic styles. Alongside Smith's vocals and textured improvised loops are Crocket’s mechanical beats, and bass grooves building layers for the counterplay of McCusker's guitar.
