Brad Derrick

Brad Derrick, born on March 24, is an American composer and audio director best known for his work on The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). His early career began in 1995 when he joined Kesmai as a sound designer, eventually rising to manage all audio tasks. He then spent eight years at Mythic Entertainment, contributing to titles like Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. In 2010, Brad Derrick joined Zenimax Online Studios, where he became the primary composer and audio lead for The Elder Scrolls Online. He crafted the soundtrack to capture the essence of The Elder Scrolls series while introducing unique elements for the online game. He composed music for various expansions, including Imperial City, Orsinium, and Thieves Guild, adding hours of original compositions to the game's rich auditory landscape. Brad Derrick’s contributions include the ESO: Morrowind soundtrack, where he seamlessly integrated themes from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. His process involved extensive preparation, from sketching ideas to live recordings in Budapest and final mix sessions in Los Angeles. His work on ESO has been acclaimed for its ability to enhance player immersion, with careful integration of music for different in-game activities.
