TRIO&I (pronounced TREE-NAH-EYE), also known as TRIO, is a British-Montserratian girl group formed in 2013. The group is made up of three sisters telling stories in harmony—Rain (Rebeca), Maiz (Maurisa), and Jimo (Jemima). They’ve fused genres and generations, crafting music that feels like flipping through a dreamy storybook written in beats, voices, and emotion.
Behind their ever-shifting sound lies a fable of identity, transformation, and control. Caught in a twisted fairytale, the sisters perform by day under the illusion of Sugar, Spice, Everything Nice—but behind the scenes, they are puppets trapped in a tale that isn’t their own. Their story is deeply rooted in personal and cultural truth, drawing from Montserratian folklore to explore what it means to lose—and reclaim—your voice through a surreal narrative lens.
Sometimes sweet. Sometimes scary. Sometimes puppets. Caught in the spectacle of Sugar, Spice, Everything Nice, they dance through a world that doesn’t always let them lead.
But they’re learning. And unlearning. And singing anyway.
TRIO&I creates more than music—they create a world. A little sweet. A little strange. And always, unmistakably theirs.
