I am Lady Joker, I speak many a tongue. That of the limbs, and the lips, the eye, and the lung. Welcome, to the whirlpools of my mind. In which harmony holds hands with entropy, and surrealism lies in their crib. Let me guide you through my multiverse:
Lady Joker is an interdisciplinary company that combines Original Electronic Music, Vibrant Vocals & Potent Poetry, Theatre & Dance, Video Art Mapping and Outrageous Costumes. Or as they call it: Theatrical Clubbing. They bring stories from the uncharted corners of the human mind and present them within a surreal multiverse. Blur the lines between audience and artist while stirring up genuine exchanges of emotions.
Lady Joker was created in 2016 from a need to bring performance and electronic music closer together, and address socio-political questions through a Surrealist lens. Since then they have performed on and hosted stages at events such as Lowlands (NL), Paradiso (NL), Mysteryland (NL), Wildeburg (NL), Into the Woods (NL), Amsterdam Dance Event (NL), Château Perché (FR), KaterBlau (DE), Irma und Paul (CH), Tengu Shokudo (JP), Sziget Festival (HU) and Burning Man (USA).
In addition, they composed the score for RED LINES WHITE LINES FINE LINES (2022), a film that premiered at CPH:DOX 2022 (Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival) and was shown at 7 film festivals worldwide.
