worriedaboutsatan is a post-rock/ ambient electronica project consisting of Gavin Miller.
Since starting life in a bedroom back in the winter of 2005, Miller has shepherded worriedaboutsatan through a lifetime’s worth of releases, ranging from the lo-fi electronica of 2006's debut EP1, through to the kaleidoscopic techno of 2016's Blank Tape, to the transcendent kosmische of 2024’s JÆJA.
With each new record, always recorded in his home studio in the picturesque northern UK village of Saltaire, Miller gently warps and morphs the sound of the band around a myriad of influences and genres. Previous releases have seen him signed to American ambient label Past Inside the Present, to German metal label Wolves and Vibrancy, via the dark experimental labels Denovali, n5MD and Gizeh.
Worriedaboutsatan's music has also featured in a number of high profile documentaries and short films, most notably the work of UK director Adam Curtis, with Miller even acting as music supervisor on his 2016 film Hypernormalisation.
Not to be seen as just a studio endeavour, the band made a point from day one to have a live set worth seeing. Years of touring all over Europe and the US has seen Miller share stages with everyone from Underworld, Olafur Arnalds, HEALTH, Pye Corner Audio, Tim Hecker and many more.
These days worriedaboutsatan is whatever it wants to be, an extension of Miller's ever evolving musical ambition.
