Born on 8 January 2000 in Nashville, Tennessee, actor and singer Noah Lindsey Cyrus—known professionally as Noah Cyrus—is the sister of popstar Miley Cyrus and daughter of producer Tish Cyrus and country artist Billy Ray Cyrus. She started acting at the age of two and appeared in teen sitcom Hannah Montana before landing her first film role in the English version of the Japanese anime feature film Ponyo in 2009. In 2016, she began taking her first steps as a solo artst and signed with Barry Weiss's Records label. Her debut single "Make Me (Cry)," which featured vocals from Labrinth, arrived in 2016 and showcased the strength of her voice, with the song going to number 46 in the US. The following year, she dropped into the song "Chasing Colors" by Marshmello and Ookay and in 2018, unleashed her candid debut EP Good Cry, which featured "Mad at You," a collaboration with Gallant. Her second EP, The End of Everything, came in 2020 and that same year she was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the Grammys. EP track "July" was among the Award Winning Songs at the BMI Pop Awards 2021. Noah Cyrus unveiled her debut studio album The Hardest Part in 2022, which featured a duet with Billy Ray Cyrus on "Noah (Stand Still)." A new collaborative single with Vance Joy, "Everybody Needs Someone," emerged in 2023.
