MC Carey is the pseudonym of the Brazilian singer-songwriter Lucas Siqueira. Highly inspired by the band Mamonas Assasinas, MC Carey uses diverse genres and style to create humor through music.
The project started in a New Year's Eve, when the single Nano Voa was recorded as a joke among Lucas and his friends, and then released in January 16th. After that, he reunited with his friend João, who produced Nano Voa, to record a 7 track album throughout the month of January.
MC Carey's first album, Carey Ok's was entirely recorded in January and released in February 25th. This album, not only features the previous song from Nano Voa, but also have other 5 songs that makes references to famous brazilian's TV hosts, and icons from the pop culture.
