The Wytches

The Wytches, an English rock band, were formed in 2011 in Peterborough by Kristian Bell (vocals, guitar) and Gianni Honey (drums). After moving to Brighton for university, they recruited bassist Daniel Rumsey and guitarist Mark Breed. Incorporating surf rock, garage rock, psychedelic rock, post-punk and indie rock, the band released their debut single "Beehive Queen" in June 2013 via Hate Hate Hate Records. In February 2014, The Wytches signed with Heavenly Recordings and Partisan Records in the US. Their debut album Annabel Dream Reader was released in August 2014, reaching Number 50 on the UK Albums Chart. After Gianni Honey's departure in 2019, Demelza Mather joined as a session drummer. The band released their third album Three Mile Ditch in October 2020 via Cable Code Records. In March 2023, Demelza Mather was announced as an official member, and the band signed to Alcopop! Records. Their fourth album Our Guest Can't Be Named, released in September 2023, received positive reviews. In 2024, Bhavin Thaker replaced Mather on drums and soon after, the band recorded live in the studio their fifth full-length Talking Machine, released in October 2025.
