Spencer Krug (born May 4 1977 in Penticton, British Columbia) is a Canadian singer‑songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and accordionist who began piano at twelve and later learned guitar. In 2003 he co‑founded Wolf Parade with Dan Boeckner; the band opened for Arcade Fire and released Apologies to the Queen Mary (2005). Spencer Krug also launched Sunset Rubdown, issuing Snake’s Got a Leg (2005) and Random Spirit Lover (2007). After Wolf Parade’s hiatus, he recorded as Moonface, producing Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I’d Hoped (2011) through This One’s for the Dancer & This One’s for the Dancer’s Bouquet (2018), before retiring the alias to release solo albums under his own name-Fading Graffiti (2021), Twenty Twenty Twenty Twenty One (2022), I Just Drew This Knife (2023), and Same Fangs (2026).
