The Brazilian singer Naiara Azevedo was born in the city of Farol in 1989 where she grew up until relocating to Umuarama when she was 16 to continue her college studies. Her musical career began almost by accident and started out when she recorded the track 'Poor', which was a tongue-in- cheek response to the popular Brazilian song 'Sou Fouda' by Carlos & Jader. Azevedo's track was a feminist's reply to the original release and after posting her track and an accompanying video on YouTube the artist began to build a following.
Azevedo has proved herself adept at managing social media platforms and has built a significant following for her work in Brazil garnering millions of YouTube views for her material.
Her 2019 release 'Digital Girl' has now accrued an incredible 65 million views and has firmly established the singer as one of Brazil's most important emerging artists.
