Memphis Depay, born on February 13, 1994, in Moordrecht, Netherlands, is a professional footballer who has also made a name for himself in the music industry as a rapper. His musical journey began in 2017 with the release of "LA Vibes," a freestyle featuring fellow footballer Quincy Promes, followed by "Kings & Queens" later that year. In 2018, he embraced his Ghanaian heritage with "AKWAABA" alongside Winne and Nana Fofie, and continued releasing tracks like "5-mill" and "No Love." His artistic evolution saw the release of "Fall Back" in 2019 and a feature on Broederliefde’s "Lange Jas." In 2020, he dropped "Dubai Freestyle," "2 Corinthians 5:7," and "Blessing," leading up to his debut EP Heavy Stepper, a nine-track project that showcased his versatility. In 2022, he collaborated with SFB and Quincy Promes on "TAT TAT," and in 2023, he explored afrobeat influences with Bisa Kdei on "Drinks on Me." That same year, he continued expanding his discography with "Asem Beba," "Leven Als Een Prof," "These Days," and "Baby Don't Play," solidifying his presence in the music scene while maintaining his football career. In 2024, Memphis Depay relocated to Brazil and began playing for Corinthians. Falando com as Favelas, an EP inspired by Brazilian urban music and culture, arrived in 2025 and featured contributions from MC Hariel, André Nine, Perera DJ, and MC Marks.
