MERO

Enes Meral is a German rapper with Turkish heritage who was born in the city of Rüsselsheim am Main and performs under the stage name Mero. In 2017 he began recording rap material using his mobile phone and then uploading the recordings onto Instagram, building an enthusiastic following. Meral's popularity on social media came to the attention of Giwar Hajabi, better known as the successful German rapper Xatar. Hajabi signed the young rapper for his Groove Attack TraX label and in 2018 Meral released his debut single 'Baller los' which became the surprise hit of the year, reaching number one in the German and Austrian charts.

Two follow-up singles 'Hobby Hobby' and 'Wolke 10' released in 2019 were similarly successful and topped the charts in both countries with 'Hobby Hobby' breaking records for the most number of streams in one day and in one week.

Within a very short time Meral has established himself as one of the most significant emerging talents on the German rap scene.
