Mikado

Mikado, whose real first name is Michael, is a West Indian composer and producer from Fort-de-France in Martinique, born in 1998. He began his musical career alongside Lijay, first making a name for himself as a DJ before moving into beatmaking. His musical influences range from American trap and dancehall to local artists such as Mercenaire Ti Blica. Mikado quickly made a name for himself on the scene thanks to his shatta productions, which captivated a wide audience. He particularly distinguished himself with the remix of Mixx Steph's"Bienvenue à Saint-Pierre", followed by the remix of Fécat'jy's"Toutouni", both of which were huge successes. Over the years, Mikado has collaborated with many well-known artists on the local scene, including T-Jy, Honey Bees and Blaiz Fayah. In 2024, he also made a name for himself in France as co-composer of the track"Alpha" by Damso and Kalash.
