Vinylshakerz, a German dance music project, was formed in 2004 by DJs and producers Mike Griesheimer, Thomas Detert, and Rico Bernasconi. The trio had previously worked on various projects such as Activate, 666, and Master Blaster. Shortly after their formation, Vinylshakerz signed with Kontor Records, a prominent German dance label. Their breakthrough came in 2005 with the release of "One Night In Bangkok", a remix of Murray Head's original song, which reached the single charts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, peaking at Number 25 in Germany and staying on the charts for over two months. Following this success, Vinylshakerz released several other notable singles including "Club Tropicana" (a cover of Wham!'s hit) and "Daddy Cool" (originally by Boney M.). Bernasconi left the project in 2006, after which Griesheimer and Detert continued as a duo. Subsequent releases such as "Luv In Japan", "Forget Me Nots", "Can U Hear Me", and "Hypnotic Tango" did not achieve the same chart success. However, Vinylshakerz regained significant club popularity in 2013 with a remix of their earlier hit "One Night In Bangkok". Throughout their career, Vinylshakerz released several releases, including Very Superior (2006) and "Slave (turn up the music)" (2009).
