B Praak - born Pratik Bachan on February 7, 1986, in Chandigarh, India - is a singer and songwriter closely associated with the Bollywood industry. The son of Punjabi music producer and composer Varinder Bachan, B Praak followed in his father’s footsteps and began his career as a producer in the Punjabi and Hindi music industry. As a composer, he began to collaborate with lyricist Jaani - their song “Filhal” has been streamed on social media close to 900 million times. Beginning in 2013, he produced tracks for a variety of artists including Harry Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Jassi Gill, Kamal Khan, Gippy Grewal, Harish Verma, Jaz Dhami, and others. In 2017, B Praak released, “Mann Bharrya,” his debut single as a vocalist. His Bollywood career as a playback singer began in 2019 providing vocals for several films before composing “Naah Goriye,” an updated version of his 2017 song “Naah.” Since then, he has continued to produce other artists, provide vocals and compositions for Bollywood productions, and maintain a successful solo career. In 2021, B Praak released the singles “Mazaa” and “Baarish Ki Jaaye” (featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sunanda Sharma), which was streamed on social media more than 240 million times in the first month.
