The Berlin Girls Choir (Berliner Mädchenchor) is the choir school for girls and young women in Berlin since 1986 and and a multiple award winner: OPUS KLASSIK, Children's Choir Country Award and first prizes at national and international choir competitions.
The choir school consists of five choir classes that build on each other: Basic Choir (from grade 1 primary school), Junior Choir (from 8 years), Junior Concert Choir (from 10 years), Concert Choir (from 13 years) and Vocal Consort (Women). Musical education includes weekly choir rehearsals and vocal coaching. These form the basis for concert performances, participation in church services, youth encounters, choir journeys and competition participation.
The diversity of our singers strengthens our community: they bring more than 30 different cultural backgrounds and come from almost all of Berlin's districts. Singers with physical disabilities are integrated into the musical community. Young re also sing in the Berlin Girls Choir.
