Prototype

Prototype is a French rapper of Congolese origin, born in Melun (77) and raised in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine (93). He discovered rap through his older brother, and was influenced by the likes of Michael Jackson and Prince, as well as Atlanta trap artists such as Young Thug. At the age of 15, Prototype formed the group Lutheck with his friends Le R and Johmala. The group enjoyed some success with the track Capelovici, reaching 3.6 million views. In 2019, he decides to go solo, inaugurating his career with the freestyle series SNAKE, a transition marked by his signing to Epic Records France in November 2020. In February 2021, he unveils his first solo project, Jeune Bandit Serpent, featuring 13 tracks and collaborations with HK La Paille, Tiakola, Liim's and Key Largo. He follows this up with Somnium in July 2021, where he collaborates with Kaza, Cinco and Coyote Jo Bastard. In 2022, he released the Extra project, teaming up with S.Pri Noir, Jok'air, Roshi and Take A Mic. His FAREWELL EP, released in July 2023, includes featurings with Cinco, Genezio and Franglish. In July 2024, Prototype added to his discography with the EP La Fête du Serpent, featuring the track"Pona Nini" in collaboration with Tiakola. His musical style is characterized by a fusion of melodious rap, trap and African influences, reflecting his origins and diverse artistic inspirations.
