Biography

Boris Berezovsky is a virtuoso Russian concert pianist in the grand old style following the tradition set by artists such as Arensky, Rubenstein, Shostakovich and Stravinsky.

Berezovsky was born in 1969 and studied at the Moscow Conservatoire before making his London debut at the age of 19 performing at the Wigmore Hall. Two years later he won a gold medal at Moscow's prestigious Tchaikovsky Awards and has since gone on to play with some of the world's greatest ensembles. He regularly appears with orchestras such as Concertgebouw, Philharmonia Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, NDR Hamburg, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper, Hessischer Rundfunk, Russian National Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

He is a prolific recording artist working mainly for the Teldec label and has an impressive catalogue of works including solo performances of the works of Chopin, Schumann, Rachmaninov, Mussorgsky, Balakirev, Medtner and Ravel.
