Biography
MC Kevin is the stage name of Brazilian funk carioca artist Kevin Nascimento Bueno. Born in Sao Paulo on April 29, 1998, he began his music career in 2013 through a series of features on KondZilla’s video streaming channel. He has released several successful singles such as “Veracruz” (2016), “O Menino Encantou a Quebrada” (2017), “Cavalo de Tróia” (2018), and “Pra Inveja É Tchau” (2018). His eponymous studio debut saw the light in 2016 and featured cameos by DJ Tavares, MC Hariel, Mc Davi. Following the release of the live album Mc Kevin no Estúdio Showlivre (2019), the funkeiro dropped the full-length Isolado no Quarto (2020), which combined his trademark funk carioca sound with trap and hip-hop. Shortly after the release of his highly anticipated third LP, Fênix, MC Kevin died after falling from the fifth floor of the hotel he was staying at in Rio de Janeiro. He was 23 years old at the time of his passing.
