Born Joakin Ikazoboh, Loose Kaynon is a rapper, songwriter, producer, A&R and music executive from Nigeria. Born and bred in kaduna in the northern part of Nigeria, he attended Airforce secondary school Kaduna and proceeded to Lagos state University for his bachelors degree program where he decided to take music as more than just a past time. He founded the Nigerian lyricist lounge called ‘wax lyrical’ and ran that underground circuit for 4 years same time managing to garner a cult following in the build up to his first album ‘The Gemini Project’ which dropped in 2016 to critical acclaim and rave reviews.
In 2018 he joined forces with rapper A-Q and they co-founded and floated a rap imprint called 100 Crowns under Chocolate city and proceeded to put out a joint album called ‘crown’ as well as discover and launch the career of Blaqbonez as part of their innovative LAMB AUGUST campaign which consisted of dropping an album every week for the month of august to breathe life into the hiphop art form in Nigeria. This rollout included “The Crown album” by A-Q and Loose Kaynon, “Yung Denzel” by MI Abaga and “Batboy Blaq” by Blaqbonez.
Loose Kaynon, always known for having a bigger picture outlook and approach to music has also established himself as a very sought after A&R with work done on numerous MI Abaga albums as well as releases under chocolate city. He currently is the Country Manager for Nigeria to one of Africas Biggest distribution companies AFRICORI.
