The Girl and The Dreamcatcher

The Girl and The Dreamcatcher was an American pop duo formed in 2014, consisting of Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan. Both were actors who met while co-starring in the Disney Channel series Liv and Maddie. Their musical journey began with regular cover performances on YouTube, starting with "I See the Light" from the soundtrack of Tangled in 2014. In September 2015, they officially announced their duo under the name The Girl and The Dreamcatcher, releasing their debut single "Written in the Stars" in October. They followed this with holiday-themed singles "All I Want for Christmas is You" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". Their first EP, Negatives, was released on July 29, 2016. The duo disbanded in October 2016 following their separation as a couple.
