Matthew's 15 Minutes
Andy Warhol was a talented artist and possibly a little unhinged, but he said something that has become just as famous as some of his creations. He said that in the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes. Today, the story is about a man who was in search of his 15 minutes. It may not have been his motive, but when the opportunity to grab the spotlight came, he stepped into it.Subscribe and SHARE 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends.Connect on social media to know when new episodes are released and see visuals that go along with the episodes.10minutemurder.comemail: joe@10minutemurder.comFacebook: https://facebook.com/10MMpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/10minutemurder/Youtube: https://youtube.com/channel/UCkJLUCEZlkn9In3AA46RVxwTwitter: https://twitter.com/10minutemurderClick Here for Merch : https://www.teepublic.com/user/minute-murder

The Jamison Family Mystery
The case of the missing Jamison family who disappeared from Red Oak, Latimer County, Oklahoma, on October 8, 2009, is very strange. Mind-boggling might be a better word to describe it. Today’s story is a bit of a break from the norm, as you normally hear me talk about confirmed murders, and mostly solved cases. Murderer Accidently Murders Himself
Imagine stumbling upon your husband in the garage. He’s lying on the floor, dead. Looking a little closer, you see that he died while rigging a vacuum cleaner hose from the exhaust of the car, directly into the trunk. That in itself is strange, but not as shocking as popping the trunk and finding 3 dead people inside. The Vampire of Dusseldorf
*******A couple of things to note about this episode of 10 Minute Murder. The first one is... it's a little longer than 10 minutes. A lot longer, actually. The details were super interesting and the time got away from me.Also, the specifics of this story are VERY disturbing. It involves rape, beastiality, and descriptions that I don't always go into. If you're sensitive to certain aspects, this may not be the episode for you.*******Peter Kürten A.K.A ``The Vampire of Düsseldorf" and the "Düsseldorf Monster", was a German serial killer who committed a series of murders and sexual assaults between February and November 1929 in the city of Düsseldorf. In the years before these assaults and murders, Kürten had amassed a lengthy criminal record for offenses including arson and attempted murder. He became known as the vampire of Düsseldorf because he made attempts to drink the blood from his victims' wounds. Liquid Matthew Murder
Psychopaths love a good riddle. What better way to flaunt your intelligence to some hapless police officers, than by turning your crime spree into one big mind game? One of the most famous examples is the Son of Sam. That killer fell victim to his own ego, when the cops caught him by tracing the clues in his crime scene letters.Today, we’ll be looking at a lesser-known case of a murderer toying with the cops. This one also went down in history, but for… slightly different reasons. In 1983, cops in Miami came up against one such devious intellect, when the body of a foreign national turned up in a car park. What looked like an everyday act of violence soon turned into a game of intellectual cat and mouse, when a cryptic clue was found nearby. So began a mind bending hunt for the culprit, in what would come to be known as the Liquid Matthew Murder…Subscribe and SHARE 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends.Connect on social media to know when new episodes are released and see visuals that go along with the episodes.10minutemurder.comemail: joe@10minutemurder.comFacebook: https://facebook.com/10MMpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/10minutemurder/Youtube: https://youtube.com/channel/UCkJLUCEZlkn9In3AA46RVxwTwitter: https://twitter.com/10minutemurderClick Here for Merch : https://www.teepublic.com/user/minute-murder

Pee Wee Gaskins
Tormented by abuse at an early age, Donald Henry Gaskins, had accumulated a long criminal record throughout his childhood and teenage years. Then between the years 1953 and 1982 he would murder 14 people and claim to have killed dozens more. His troubled childhood would set the groundwork for a life of crime, leading Gaskins… or “Pee Wee”, to become one of South Carolina's most prolific serial killers.Subscribe and SHARE 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends.Connect on social media to know when new episodes are released and see visuals that go along with the episodes.10minutemurder.comemail: joe@10minutemurder.comFacebook: https://facebook.com/10MMpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/10minutemurder/Youtube: https://youtube.com/channel/UCkJLUCEZlkn9In3AA46RVxwTwitter: https://twitter.com/10minutemurderClick Here for Merch : https://www.teepublic.com/user/minute-murder

The Librarian Snaps
In 1987, former librarian William Bryan Cruse was notorious in his neighborhood for being the residential grumpy old man. He had a bad temper, routinely yelling at the neighborhood kids. Known to scare people with his rifle, his neighbors thought he was dangerous and avoided him at all costs. Though there were signs of William’s descent into madness, including an incident that would foreshadow the events to come, they never could have imagined that Cruse would go on a barbaric shooting spree that would leave six dead and 14 others injured.Subscribe and SHARE 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends.Connect on social media to know when new episodes are released and see visuals that go along with the episodes.10minutemurder.comemail: joe@10minutemurder.comFacebook: https://facebook.com/10MMpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/10minutemurder/Youtube: https://youtube.com/channel/UCkJLUCEZlkn9In3AA46RVxwTwitter: https://twitter.com/10minutemurderClick Here for Merch : https://www.teepublic.com/user/minute-murder

Lipstick Killer
The year was 1946 and Americans were rejoicing after the end of the Second World War. The country was optimistic about the bright future ahead. But in Chicago, there was a threat that loomed over the windy city like a dark cloud, and this threat was much closer to home. Women were being violently murdered, and after a message scrawled in lipstick was left behind at one of the crime scenes, the headlines would soon dub the person responsible: the “Lipstick Killer.” There would be three victims before a man named William Heirens was arrested in connection to the crimes. It seems like justice was served, but decades later doubts about his guilt emerge. A Conspiracy to Murder
Everyone knows at least one person who either binged History Channel’s Ancient Aliens, or spent an evening scrolling reddit conspiracy theories. Some of you might also know a guy at a party that obsessively ranted to everyone within an earshot about lizard people at 3 am, and you took that as your sign that it was time to head home. It’s all fun and games until you realize that some people take it seriously. So much so, that they even decide to kill… their own children… to save the world. Along with Covid-19, there was another virus that rapidly spread and spiraled out of control - conspiracy theories. That Bi**h Is Dead
Crime, and more specifically, murder, have always been a regrettably consistent element of the human experience.A couple of quotes I think are relevant as it relates to the story today…“The deviant and the conformist... are creatures of the same culture, inventions of the same imagination.”-Kai Erikson And… “We are all capable of becoming something monstrous.”-Cyraus Foldger Today we take a look into the story of Gypsy Rose Blancharde and her mother Dee Dee. Gypsy’s mother falsely claimed her daughter was suffering from different illnesses throughout her life, until Gypsy, like controlling a puppet on a string, orchestrated the murder of Dee Dee Blancharde in 2015. Corpsewood Manor - "I Had This Coming"
In the pursuit of an idyllic lifestyle and freedom, a couple from Chicago bought a secluded property, far away from the modern big cities. They wanted to become closer to nature, and be free from prying eyes into their hedonistic lifestyle. The local legend has it, that the land is haunted by the devil and the souls of the murdered owners. Some people claim to have heard screams or the barking of phantom dogs, as well as to have seen the glowing eyes of two mastiffs… even sometimes shadowy figures roaming, and standing guard over the property. But why would the land be haunted by the devil, you may ask? Well... the thing is that the main subject of today’s story, Charles Scudder, was an openly gay member of the Church of Satan, and the property he chose to purchase was located in a small, sleepy town in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia.Following the murders, some people believed that it was a satanic-related crime. But was it a crazy LSD-fueled kind of black magic ritual or just a robbery justified by prejudice?Subscribe and share 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends. Investigators later found out that Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris were responsible for the murder of five of them. The Halloween night which crowned their five-month killing spree was later known as one of the most shocking, brutal cases in the history of American crime. They are known as the Toolbox killers.Their “Tool Box” not only consisted of regular stuff like pliers, ice picks, and sledgehammers but also a vaseline jar and tape recorder.Bittaker was described by FBI Special Agent John E. Dr MacDonald and the Hippies on Acid
This sounds like a Hollywood thriller movie, and even though this tale didinspire filmmakers, the real-life story is far more unbelievable.Jeffrey MacDonald was a true crime star of his time. He cemented his celebrity status in the 80s after a bestselling book Fatal Vision was published, followed by a movie of the same title, TV miniseries, and documentaries. He told a horrifying story of how Charles Manson-style hippies had raided his home and brutally murdered his wife and two daughters. However, Jeffrey is believed to have his family butchered and he later staged the crime scene to implicate a bloody Manson-like slaughter. The question which is still up for debate, is whether was he a cold-blooded murderer or a victim of blood-thirsty hippies on acid? The fact is, that the savage slaying of his wife and daughters left the nation horrified.Subscribe and share 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends. Gabby and Brian
"Two people went on a trip, one person returned, and that person isn't cooperating,"- Chief of Police Todd Garrison Even if you have lived under a rock for the past year, you must have heard of this case at least once. The 22-year-old Gabby Petito’s missing person case ended with the worst possible outcome. Gabby Petito and her fiance, Brian Laundrie, planned a four-month-long trip. After many months of saving money, putting all of their affairs in order, and preparing their dream camping van, they were ready to set off in July 2021. The cross-country trip started as expected, as many beautiful pictures and videos documenting the journey were posted. However, in the last days of August, Gabby—a previously frequent Instagram user—went silent forever. Brian came back home ALONE at the beginning of September and remained tight-lipped regarding Gabby’s whereabouts. Unlike some old true crime cases from the 20th century from Netflix documentaries with grainy interviews, this case unfolded right in front of our eyes. It was all over-in the TV news, TikTok video speculations, and Instagram posts. The search truly unified the nation in the search for the missing Van-Life blogger. Everyone had access to clues, and many social media users were attempting to solve the case and bring Gabby home.Subscribe and share 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends. The Angel of Death
Do you think you could recognize a serial killer in real life? What if you met such a person in a place where you would naturally assume that no one would or could hurt you on purpose?Serial killers don’t wear tacky masks, carry a chainsaw, or stare unblinkingly while sipping chianti. Horror movies leave a false impression, that some obvious signs in their looks or behavior would be an instant red flag. Real life isn’t so simple. Real evil people can seamlessly blend into the fabric of society and give their victims a false sense of security. One of the places where we lower our guard is a hospital. We trust the doctors and nurses with our lives, literally. That’s where killers in the medical world feel like kids in a candy store.Sometimes the underlying motivation of some killers are traits that are commonly regarded as honorable. An uncontrollable desire to save people and be recognized as a hero fueled Richard Angelo. He signed up as a volunteer fireman at the earliest possible age. After graduation as a top student, he became the night supervisor at a hospital’s special care unit… gaining access to some of the most vulnerable patients. Richard aspired to make himself a "hero" by arriving on the scene just in time to "save" his victims, so he came up with a clever plan to administer a deadly cocktail of paralyzing drugs. He killed 25 patients before being discovered.Subscribe and share 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends. The Dragging of James
TW: The details of this murder are very graphic and disturbing. On June 7, 1998, a 49-year-old African American man was brutally tortured and murdered in one of the most horrific racially motivated hate crimes the country has ever seen. The man, James Byrd Jr was dragged to his death after being chained by the ankles to the back of a pickup truck by three white men John William King, Lawrence Russell Brewer, and Shawn Allen Berry. The crime so inhumane and shocking would play a major role in the passage of federal hate crimes legislation.Subscribe and share 10 Minute Murder with your true crime loving friends.
