Is Work-Life Balance Possible? with Ryan Estis
Have Fun.  Serve Others. Celebrate. The post COVID workplace has changed, or has it? As much as things change, things stay the same.  Everyone wants to maximize their time.   Being efficient on the job while enjoying life do NOT have to be mutually exclusive.  Ryan Estis, author of “Prepare for Impact – Driving Growth and Serving Others through the Principles of Human-Centered Leadership’, is one of the most respected voices in the United States regarding Leadership, Team Building and Personal Development. Estis is convinced that work and life can be and should be fun and enjoyed.  How to we make sure that happens?   Getting back to “the basics”, “the fundamentals”.   Work Burnout and Unhealthy Relationships can occur when we get away from the basics of honoring each other by giving grace and respect.  Intentionality Matters.   Compassion. Action.  Sympathy. Empathy. As a basketball coach (retired), I always wanted the players on my team to know their value to the team and to know that they are valued by me.  That was fundamental to establishing a culture of winning. Estis discusses these fundamentals and more on today’s podcast.   Check out Ryan's website: https://ryanestis.com/ Follow Ryan ] on Twitter: and Instagram: @ryanestis FOLLOW PARALYSIS TO PURPOSE Twitter: https://twitter.com/Paral2Purpose Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paralysis2purpose/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/paralysis2purpose TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@paralysis2purpose Mailing List: http://eepurl.com/hzE5n9 FOLLOW OUR HOST, DAVID COOKS Twitter: https://twitter.com/dcespeaks Instagram: https://instagram.com/dcespeaks Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dcespeaks/ Website: https://davidcooksspeaks.com/ Listen in for stories of growth, change, and discovery by both individuals and corporations on their journeys from Paralysis to Purpose. http://paralysis2purpose.com/

Thanks to Dr. Kyle Daigle, the narrative is changing. “For people who refuse to accept NEVER as an answer”, Dr. Kyle Daigle uses an innovative approach to neurological recovery with Laser Therapy, Primitive reflexing and Nerve Stimulation. From Iran to the U.S.: Escaping War to Saving Lives with Dr. Amir Rashidian
Born in Iran, Dr. Amir Rashidian witnessed firsthand the atrocities of war. The Iranian government was overthrown. Iran became the Islamic Republic of Iran and the world as he knew it changed. He was 6-years old when Saddam Hussein’s Iraq invaded Iran and thus began the air-raids and bombings. Amir’s father wanted to bring his family to America. Every summer Amir’s father would take their family to a different European country with the hopes of obtaining a visa to the United States. Each time they met rejection and had to return home. Finally, at age 11, Amir’s family was given permission to enter the United States of America. In August of 1985, Amir and his mother landed in Los Angeles with two suitcases and $500. Before leaving Iran, Amir’s dad wanted to teach him about poverty and life in the underprivileged regions of Iran. It was here that Dr Amir Rashidian decided to become a doctor, to save lives and prevent unnecessary death he witnessed in the village. Specifically, a young pregnant woman die in her husband arm, because there were no Doctors there. Dr. Amir’s journey to fulfilling his childhood declaration contains many twists and turns. On this episode of Paralysis to Purpose, he candidly shares the obstacles and the victories he experienced along the way, including battling deep depression and suicidal thoughts to becoming a follower of Jesus Christ. It's My Assignment, not My Punishment
HIS STORY INSPIRED ME.  HIS FAITH ENCOURAGED ME. On November 2, 2011, Vincent Rutley, actor, playwright and musician, survived a near fatal accident that severed his spinal cord. Diagnosed as a paraplegic with traumatic brain damage, the doctors prepared him for the worst by telling him he would never move his arms or legs again.  He viewed this tragedy as an “Assignment” not a “Punishment”. Vincent Rutley comes from a strong family of faith, and has a strong personal relationship with God, so in the doctor’s report didn’t deter them from expecting the best.  Believing that God would perform a miracle, Vincent began his journey of recovery.   It was a few weeks after his surgery, that the miracles began.  Feeling and slight movement in his right arm, became a full range of motion.  Later, his left arm and wrist became functional. In 2014 Vincent returned to the stage play production “Street Corner “which he wrote, produces and starred in, from his wheelchair.  “Your disability doesn’t change the fact that God made you, YOU!  The journey may be 10 times tough, but you can fulfill your wildest dreams.  The car accident didn’t paralyze my love for acting.  I didn’t lose my love for acting because I use a wheelchair now. Vincent Rutley doesn’t deny the reality of the challenges that come with his spinal cord injury, but he refuses to let it dictate the quality of his life. He has learned to lean on his support system, spearheaded by his wife, who he was engaged to at the time of the accident.  His goal is to become the most sought-after quadriplegic actor in the business. Thirteen years after the accident, Vincent Rutley still believes that God will work a miracle and he will walk again.  In the meantime, he is committed to living life to the fullest. I Was Addicted to Hate
In a riveting tell-all, Chris Buckley is a former veteran and Ku Klux Klan white supremacist with a dark past framed by childhood sexual abuse and an absent father. His story chronicles a movement from one toxic state to another, professing an obsession to 'hate.'  Chris' pain is vivid as he recollects his childhood sexual abuse, a yearning to be loved by his father, the hurt of losing his ‘Jumpmans’ shoes, and how the war in Afghanistan triggered his Islamophobia.  Beneath his layers of pain, Chris shares the lights of his life: his  grandmother’s unfathomable love, his mother’s resilience and his ever-supportive wife.  When substance abuse and hatred sent Chris spiraling out of control, a life-changing hug from Arnos Michaelis, a former white supremacist, helps to bring him back to life.  In this interview, Chris shares how Arno connected him to his new purpose with Parents4Peace, a non-profit that saves people from extremism. Towards the end of the podcast, we appreciate Chris’ ‘full-circle’ journey when he says “ I am addicted to knowing that someone is benefiting from my pain.”  Check out Chris's website: www.parents4peace.org Follow Chris on Twitter:  @Chrisbu94982722 FOLLOW PARALYSIS TO PURPOSE Twitter: https://twitter.com/ Paral2Purpose Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paralysis2purpose/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/paralysis2purpose  TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@paralysis2purpose  Mailing List: http://eepurl.com/hzE5n9   FOLLOW OUR HOST, DAVID COOKS Twitter: https://twitter.com/dcespeaks  Instagram: https://instagram.com/dcespeaks  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dcespeaks/  Website: https://davidcooksspeaks.com/   Listen in for stories of growth, change, and discovery by both individuals and corporations on their journeys from Paralysis to Purpose. http://paralysis2purpose.com/

The Story Behind the Song with Mario J. Brown
Highly-approved by “Paralysis to Purpose” fans, Mario J. Brown is the mastermind behind the podcasts theme song. With hints of Soul, R&B and Caribbean music, Mario effortlessly blends these genres to produce a one-of-a-kind backdrop to each episode.   The CEO of M J Brown Musik comes from three-generations of musical genius, honing his talent at his grandfather’s family church. Mario ascended to the ranks of performing with the R&B group Jagged Edge, but made an unpopular decision to return to his gospel roots.   Mario’s life then took an unexpected turn when an injury snatched his dream, forcing him into a string of odd jobs and depression.  With steadfast faith, Mario channeled his energy into producing gospel music with an R&B flair.  Today, the artist, backed by 25 years of industry experience, continues to produce brilliant R&B-infused gospel music. The Odd Couple (Johnny Bridgewater and Keith Kahfeldt)
The success story of team “Ke-onny” spotlights how our differences can become our greatest asset. Johnny Bridgewater’s upbringing was defined by his expulsion from Milwaukee Public Schools, an urge to get into fights,  and the cycle of teenage parenthood. At 18, his son entered the world and kickstarted a long, arduous journey to his present career. From parks to garage gyms, Johnny built his dream- Bridgewater Performance, a sports enhancement facility that serves a spectrum of athletes from middle school students to elite athletes.    His business partner Keith Kahfeldt hailed from the idyllic suburban life. After graduating with a Communications degree from Concordia University, Keith was beckoned by the sport training world. With no experience, he reset his professional path by cleaning gyms and studying the habits of trainers. Keith was introduced to Johnny, and their partnership was instantly magical.  The two become founders and co-owners of Elite Training MKE in Wisconsin. Both Johnny and Keith share insights into their successful partnership, the lessons they learn from each other, and the importance of service to their communities.    Check out Keith and Johnny's  website: www.bridgewaterperformance.com  Follow Keith on Twitter: @cheef_keef33 and @bridgewaterperf  Instagram: @keithkahfedlt and @elitetrainingmke   FOLLOW PARALYSIS TO PURPOSE  Twitter: https://twitter.com/Paral2Purpose Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paralysis2purpose/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/paralysis2purpose TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@paralysis2purpose Mailing List: http://eepurl.com/hzE5n9  FOLLOW OUR HOST, DAVID COOKS  Twitter: https://twitter.com/dcespeaks Instagram: https://instagram.com/dcespeaks Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dcespeaks/ Website: https://davidcooksspeaks.com/  Listen in for stories of growth, change, and discovery by both individuals and corporations on their journeys from Paralysis to Purpose. http://paralysis2purpose.com/

Keys to Personal Growth with Desiree Cocroft
Desiree Cocroft is a living example of the expression “Carpe Diem” (seize the day). The transformation coach, speaker, podcast host,  author of “Get Your Life Today,” and co-founder of the Signature Dance Company is a proud Milwaukee native who started ‘executing her own life’ at the young age of 17.   At 24, the MBA graduate started her not-for-profit dance company to transform the lives of women and girls through dance. She also took on additional mentoring roles and served as the Program Coordinator at PEARLS for Teen Girls.   However, Desiree wanted more out of life. The transformation coach was suppressing her own greatness, and reached out for mentoring herself. She wanted to apply her skills in a corporate setting, and achieved this through her new role as a Coaching Consultant with the Franklin Covey Leadership Company. But the story doesn't end there....  The podcast also features snippets of her Forbes magazine article “Three Questions that will build confidence when it's crumbling,” with powerful messages on personal development and leadership.    Check out Desiree's website: www.desireecocroft.com  Follow Desiree on Instagram: @desireecocroft   FOLLOW PARALYSIS TO PURPOSE  Twitter: https://twitter.com/Paral2Purpose Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paralysis2purpose/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/paralysis2purpose TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@paralysis2purpose Mailing List: http://eepurl.com/hzE5n9  FOLLOW OUR HOST, DAVID COOKS  Twitter: https://twitter.com/dcespeaks Instagram: https://instagram.com/dcespeaks Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dcespeaks/ Website: https://davidcooksspeaks.com/  Listen in for stories of growth, change, and discovery by both individuals and corporations on their journeys from Paralysis to Purpose. http://paralysis2purpose.com/
