Tell me can you hear it
The souls of the damned
Got shackles on they ankles now they praying and pleading
Begging for remorse but they are no longer breathing
Where you fall is where you stay be it virtue or vice
Take a seat and place your bet
You got no cash that's alright
This ain't a standard playing table you know
The poker chip is your soul, are you still willing to roll
Walking through the valley of the shadow of death,
Told to walk by faith I still ain't got the hang of it yet
Seeing sinners dressed as saints dragging my faith through the mud
Saying father please forgive me, for touching your son
Then the pedophile pastor who has broken his laws
Goes and calls out all the gays, like they were stealing his job
Cruelly judging other people cause he wasn't called to act
Just a man who wants some money for the holy preacher pact
As a christian i'm appalled, ducking and dodging the blame
Sweep the issues under rugs still better pay the tithe today
Yeah Martin Luther must be livid, really rolling in his grave
Masquerading as a martyr thinking you can save some face
Moses was murderer
David an adulterer
Mary Magdalene
A prostitute and common whore
The son of God befriending sinners?
Heathen this is heresy
That's harrowing to hear
I see that you don't know your history
I don't really understand its hypocritically
God sees all sin as equal that point is pivotal
He who hasn't sinned can cast the first stone
Moral of the story is leave these people alone
You wanna chastise, cast eyes on every sinner
Condemn the lives many but your not the vindicator
In your pride you have forgotten all your works are null and void
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of the Lord
It seems that somewhere down the line you
mixed relations with religion
cause your living lukewarm and with God you've no connection
yet here you are still grooming children
Instead of their faith
I bet you make them call you father
Degenerate and disgrace
Its disappointing
How we fumbled the bag
Went from spreading the gospel to
Sharing gossip in the back
Said sayounara to commandments
Jesus piece around my neck
Bear your cross ain't literal
Just had to get that off my chest
Vice and virtue
Morale battle that humanity hides
Those darker thoughts are truly vicious
Often tainting the mind
No one ever picks their demons
We just sit and we vibe, choosing whether
We fight back or surrender our lives
It's a choice we all make as individuals
And I don't think its right to make
Our differences so difficult
These actions that I see often trample on my beliefs
But who am I to judge, knowing that my record was never clean
Hate the sin but love the sinner that's the mantra
I live by,
Don't call yourself a christian
Holding hatred in your eyes
Love is understanding
Don't condone or condemn
Try to reach some common ground
Actually listen to them
If you struggle I'm beside you
Have a seat at my table
Liar, killer, cheater, thief
Fight for as long as you're able
For a saint is just a sinner
Who still wants to repent
But the decision is yours
So tell me how will you live
Lord grant me
The serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
It is in your will that good things are done
And in your name that I pray
Amen
