Joy Roselyn Rukanzakanza is a Zimbabwean singer and songwriter known artistically as JoyRukanza. She displays a long history of learning, growth & upward trajectory in her expertise, knowledge, and experiences in the music industry. She discovered her musical talent when she led her high school choir through regional competitions in her hometown, Bulawayo. Her initial foray into the world of professional recording was with the hit single "Shingirira" which she collaborated on with Zimbabwean record producer Skaiva while still in high school. In January 2021, she released her debut song "New Day" featuring South Africa’s hip-hop sensation, KiD X. After its successful reception, she followed up with another successful record, "Roses" as well as "Queendom". The colorful tapestry of her music reveals itself in the multi-genre offering in her upcoming debut album MATTER-MORE-FOR-SIS. Through this work of art, JoyRukanza hopes to take her listeners on an emotional journey of healing.
