NEW SINGLE "Flying Away" feat Safe Travel OUT NOW !
Woodini is a disruptor. The kind of guy who would go to school only to draw and look out the window. In addition: he is stubborn. He always knew what he wanted to do for a living. He isn’t about the quiet life, he is not the playing polo with the buddies’ type of guy. What he wants to do is to make music. He doesn’t really know why. He just knows. That’s it. One day, by chance, he heard a Bobby McFerrin's song, on the radio, maybe. That’s when he knew. At first, he dabbles creating rhymes and hum behind a microphone. Then he would prefer the language of machines and make buttons flip until walls would vibrate. Later when wandering in Parisian nights he would meet a griot who came from Casamance. Their encounter hit the bull’s eye. Together they would compose an album which has been a gigantic step in Woodini’s life. It’s called “L’hiver peul” (Pulaar winter) and was released on Barclays. They associated themselves with pure talented artists, musicians with magical fingers, real tamers. This album will come out of the ground like a concrete Baobab. Woodini's appetite grew, he then winds through a much more personal register by delivering his first solo EP "Chrysalide. A record whose BPM (beats per minute)intensify more and more as you get into the record. Some people would speak highly of it. Some speak about mastery and some speak about a very personal universe. He’s on the starting blocks then he recorded 2 more EP’s : “Jungle on fire” and “Gone”. Doors open to him. He would walk down to festivals and to the darkest concert halls of France, Spain, England and Belgium. He even performed on a cruise organized by his fellows of Kitsuné. Woodini continues to twist the buttons of his keyboard with this indestructible passion which only the fools and the possessed can reach. He will come up with a new album at the beginning of 2018, the outcome of a birth and an unusual, colorful encounter. Code name : 113.
