Biografía
Bruno & Marrone are one of Brazil's most popular and enduring sertanejo duos, whose recording career spans two decades with over 25 album releases between 1994 and 2010. The band is comprised of guitarist and singer Vinicius de Miranda (Bruno) and concertina player and vocalist José Ferreira (Marrone). De Miranda had been a solo performer for ten years before being introduced to Ferreira in 1985 by another famous setanejo duo, Leandro e Leonardo.
Ferreira and de Miranda spent almost ten years perfecting their act until they were eventually signed to Warner in 1995. Later that year they released their debut album 'Bruno e Marrone - Vol. 1' and since then have established themselves as one of Brazil's best known sertanejo acts. The duo were nominated for a Latin Grammy Award on numerous occasions and in 2002 were successful when the album 'Acústico ao Vivo' won the 'Best Sertaneja Album' category.
Although their last studio album was 'Sonhando' recorded in 2010 the duo remain a popular live attraction regularly filling large venues during their tours.
