'ELEVATE SPIRIT' // OUT NOW
Emerging from the French metal landscape, JIRO could be the hidden child of Lamb of God and While She Sleeps. By giving back its nobility to the guitar riff, these five suburbanites use a keen sense of groove to serve a modern and almost elegant brutality.
The play is full of sensitivity and comes up against a certain technique that only the five musicians know. Influenced by major artists such as Bleed From Within, Polaris and Parkway Drive, this group of passionate friends impose a sound that belongs to them.
JIRO will soon be presenting Elevate Spirit, exploiting the richness of his musical skill. His alternative metal tinted with metalcore and prog nuances engages in a breach to changing dynamics. The ensemble studies and explores music, plunging into a complex duality between technicality and simplicity. From one measure to another, JIRO is creative, stupid, able to shake the whole atmosphere of a song and surprise the listener.
Of the five new tracks in Elevate Spirit, JIRO is playing with balance. At the whim of its music, sometimes groovy, sometimes brutal, the quintet leaves nothing to chance, and reveals a well-defined musical direction. Between letting go and catching up in extremis, the sensations felt on these five tracks give life to an authentic work whose themes corroborate the group’s state of mind and orient us towards nostalgic thoughts and various feelings such as sadness, hope and ambition in adversity.
