Biografía

Singer Kimberly Perry and her brothers Neil and Reid, who hail from Mississippi, formed The Band Perry in Tennessee in 2005 and joined the New Faces of Country tour that year. They went on to have hit country singles and albums and win country music awards but later they decided to move towards pop music.

Their debut single 'Hip to My Heart' which peaked at number 20 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart came out in 2009 ahead of their eponymous debut EP 'The Band Perry' which charted at number 32 on the Top Country Albums Chart in 2010. Later that year, the full album 'The Band Perry' reached number two on the Country Albums Chart and number four on the Billboard 200 and they were nominated in 2011 for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. 'Pioneer' (2013) topped the Country Albums Chart and went to number two on the 200.

They have toured with Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Blake Shelton, appeared on national American television shows and performed in the pre-game show of the NFL Super Bowl in 2014. They have had 14 tracks on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart including three that went to number one: 'If I Die Young' (2010), 'All Your Life' (2012) and 'Better Dig Two' (2013). Pop single 'Live Forever' failed to match previous successes, but they continued to move away from country with the single 'Stay in the Dark', which peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Adult Top 40. The 2018 pop EP 'Coordinates' peaked at number 42 on the Independent Albums Chart in 2018 and they supported the release with a 17-date tour through the American mid-west from October to December 2018.
