Biografía

Eruca Sativa is an alternative rock band hailing from Córdoba, Argentina. The group was formed out of the musical collaboration of musicians Luisina Bertoldi, Brenda Martin, and Gabriel Pedernera. After each member had already been in various musical projects in Córdoba, they decided to start a band together. At first, they called themselves Oruga, but quickly changed their name to Eruca Sativa. They released their first EP in 2008. The EP gained attention after being selected by TV host Roberto Pettinato as one of his favorite releases of the year. This was followed by the band’s debut full-length album La Carne (2008), which the group toured extensively to promote. In 2010, the group fully relocated to Buenos Aires and recorded their second album Es (2010). That same year, the group was named Best Argentine Band in a poll run by the newspaper Clarín. Their third album Blanco (2012) followed, displaying a more aggressive rock sound influenced by Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. In 2014, the group released the live CD/DVD Huellas Digitales. The following year, they opened for the Foo Fighters during their show in La Plata, Argentina. Over the next few years, the group released the albums Barro y Fauna (2016) and Seremos Primavera (2019), the latter of which included the song “Creo” which received a nomination for Best Rock Song at the 2020 Latin Grammy Awards. In 2022, their single "Ojalá" from the album Dopelganga entered the Uruguayan Top 200 at Number 186.
