Biografía

Bloodhound Gang's mix of alternative rock, hip-hop, and potty humor proved to be a winning combination during the late 1990s, when the band scored worldwide hits with songs like "Fire Water Burn" and "The Bad Touch." High school classmates James Moyer Franks (AKA "Jimmy Pop") and Michael Bowe (AKA "Daddy Long Legs") grew up in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and began performing together in 1988. They adopted the name Bloodhound Gang in 1991 and released their major-label debut, Use Your Fingers, in 1995. The group experienced several lineup changes during the years that immediately followed, but that didn't stop Bloodhound Gang from becoming a stable presence on the charts. Their 1996 release, One Fierce Beer Coaster, went gold in America, with the lead single "Fire Water Burn" becoming a Top 40 hit in five countries. Released in 1999, "The Bad Touch" became an even bigger success, charting at Number One in eight European countries and pushing its accompanying album, Hooray for Boobies, to platinum status in America, Germany, Canada, and Austria. Bloodhound Gang toughened up their sound for 2005's Hefty Fine, a rap-metal album that was best received in Central Europe, and shuffled their lineup again before releasing Hard-Off in 2015.
