Biografía

Mexican singer-songwriter and producer Rodolfo Edén Muñoz Cantú (September 25, 1990), better known as Edén Muñoz, began his professional career in the early aughts as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Regional music band Colmillo Norteño. Born in the city of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, he showed great interest in music very early on in his life, learning how to play the guitar at the age of 8. His first big opportunity came in 2006 when he joined Colmillo Norteño, a group that pioneered a hybrid genre now known as norteño-banda. Edén Muñoz learned how to play the accordion during his stint in the band and even wrote some of their most popular hit singles before his exit in 2010. Shortly after, he formed the group Puro Colmillo Norteño, which was eventually renamed Calibre 50 in order to avoid legal issues with his former bandmates. As Calibre 50's main songwriter and producer, Edén Muñoz helped the project reach new heights of popularity, breaking the record for most Number 1 singles by a regional Mexican artist on the Billboard charts. After leaving the group in 2022, he launched his solo career with the singles "Chale," "Hay Que Hacer Dinero," and "No Sabía Cuánto," a duet with singer Michelle Maciel.
