Biografía

Australia rapper The Kid Laroi topped the charts in Australia and America with his debut mixtape, 2020's F*ck Love, which featured Number 1 collaborations with artists like Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. He was born as "Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard" in Sydney, Australia, on August 17, 2003. Howard began performing under the pseudonym "The Kid Laroi" while still a teenager, and his debut EP, 14 with a Dream, arrived in 2018. That same year, he became a finalist on the Triple J Unearthed competition, which landed him a spot as an opening act on Juice Wrld’s Australian tour. The pair quickly hit it off, and Juice Wrld took The Kid Laroi under his wing, eventually helping him secure a record deal with Columbia Records.

Howard increased his profile with the singles “Diva,” featuring Lil Tecca, and “Go,” a Juice Wrld collaboration included in F*ck Love, his star-studded 2020 debut mixtape. The mixtape reached Number 1 both on the Australian charts and the Billboard 200. It was followed by a deluxe version entitled F*ck Love (Savage), featuring Marshmelo, Machine Gun Kelly, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. In 2021, The Kid Laroi scored his first Top 10 hit in the US with the Miley Cyrus duet “Without You” and teamed up with Justin Bieber later that year for “Stay,” an infectious electro pop number that topped the charts in Australia, Canada, Australia, and several European countries. A third edition of his debut mixtape, F*ck Love 3: Over You, also arrived that year, featuring guest spots by Polo G, G Herbo, and Lil Durk. His first full-length studio album, The First Time, followed in 2023. Featuring the Top 10 Australian single "Too Much," The First Time reached number 3 in Australia, number 26 in America, and number 29 in the UK.
