Six years after K-pop icons BTS began their journey toward global superstardom, the Big Hit Entertainment company that masterminded the group's success launched a second boyband. The five members of TXT, or Tomorrow X Together, were unveiled over ten days in early 2019 via a series of introduction videos. Bandmates Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai quickly built a global audience of fans, thanks to the success of TXT's debut single, “Crown.” A Number 1 hit on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, “Crown” helped set the stage for the group's five-track EP, The Dream Chapter: Star, which topped the South Korean charts that spring. A full-length album, The Dream Chapter: Magic, followed in October and went platinum in South Korea. TXT remained equally prolific in 2020, releasing two EPs — The Dream Chapter: Eternity and Minisode1: Blue Hour — that both debuted atop Japan's Oricon Albums Chart. Their debut Japanese album Still Dreaming arrived in 2021 and quickly rose to the top of the Oricon charts, followed by a second Korean studio album titled The Chaos Chapter: Freeze, released in May of that year. Preceded by the single “0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You)” featuring Seori, The Chaos Chapter: Freeze became TXT’s fourth consecutive Number 1 in Japan and their highest-charting release in the US, reaching Number 5 on the Billboard 200.
