Biografía

Lúcio Silva de Souza, known professionally as Silva, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born on July 3, 1988, in Vitória, Espírito Santo. Silva began his music career in 2012 with the release of his debut EP, simply titled 2012. Soon afterwards, he released his first studio album, Claridão (2012), under the SLAP label. This was followed by Vista pro Mar (2014), which featured guest vocals from Fernanda Takai on the track "Okinawa." This album was ranked the eighth-best Brazilian album of the year by Rolling Stone Brazil. In 2015, he collaborated with Lulu Santos and Don L on the song "Noite," which appeared on his first live album, Vista pro Mar (Ao Vivo) (2015). That same year, Silva released his third studio album Júpiter (2015), which spawned singles such as "Eu Sempre Quis," "Feliz e Ponto," and "Sufoco." Also in 2015, he contributed to the compilation album Mar Azul - Sons de Minas Gerais with his cover of the Lô Borges song "Um Girassol da Cor de Seu Cabelo." In 2016, Silva shifted his focus towards MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and introduced a tour titled "Silva Canta Marisa," covering songs by Marisa Monte. This resulted in an album of the same name. His second live album, Silva Canta Marisa Ao Vivo, was released in 2017. Over the next few years, Silva released albums such as 2018's gold-selling Brasileiro and 2020's Cinco. In 2022, Silva won the iBest Award for Influenciador Espírito Santo.
