Amaranthe are a Swedish metal rock band with pop influences formed in Gothenburg in 2008 by guitarist and keyboard player Olof Mörck and vocalist and bass player Joacim (Jake E) Lundberg (who left in 2017), singer Elize Ryd and drummer Morten Løwe Sørenson. The current lineup features Mörck, Ryd and Sørenson plus singers Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson and Nils Molin and bassist Johan Andreassen. Another original vocalist, Andreas Solveström, left in 2013.
With a mix of melody and metal, the band offers different textures with each vocalist from clean to harsh. Known originally as Avalanche, they changed to Aramanthe for their eponymous debut album in 2011 and they followed with 'The Nexus' (2013), 'Massive Addictive' (2014), 'Maximalism' (2016) and 'Helix' (2018). Their 2019 schedule was to include appearances at venues in Finland, Norway and Sweden.
