Pointdexter est dirigé par le leader Kevin Kinsella, qui a formé le groupe alors qu'il étudiait à l'université pour obtenir son diplôme en génie mécanique. Pendant ses études, Kevin a rencontré le meilleur ami Jarom Horner. Jarom et Kevin partageaient une passion pour la musique qui les a amenés à écrire de la musique ensemble. Jarom a présenté le batteur Keywan Ryland et Rob McCord. Ils ont une vision commune de l'écriture de musique qui peut engager un public de masse avec originalité et intégrité d'artiste. La musique de Pointdexter parle d'inspiration, de détermination, d'amour, d'autonomisation et de la façon dont ces éléments entrent et sortent de votre vie.
