Having a voice that sounds like smoke-filled lungs
was quite unusual for an eleven-year-old boy from the countryside. But it seemed to scratch an itch. And spending his childhood sailing oceans and touring through various countries, it takes a lot to get Sid Bader out of breath.
Raised by Johnny Cash cassettes, Eagles CDs and Merle Haggard LPs, he fell in love with Country and Americana music early on. After many years on the road with his former rock band SMACK, Sid gained worldwide attention with his version of «I Wanna Be Like You» at The Voice of Germany, gathering millions of streams all around the globe.
Focussing on his raspy vocals, energetic stage presence and raw, unfiltered songwriting, he decided to embark on his journey as a singer-songwriter. His first EP «Not A Poet» proves that organic and truthful productions still capture everyones interest. And that an honest song never gets old. Now, Sid is winning one heart after another doing what he does best: sharing his songs and playing stages all over the country. Like he always did.
