When it comes to describing the band Astral Planes, their explanation is solid. “At the heart of it we’re just three lads coming together, making music and getting pissed.” With a sound similar to that of the late 60’s, blended together with a more modern approach to rock music, Astral Planes is able to bring together an audience that appreciates both the old and the new, whether that’s playing at a village festival in their hometown, or at one of the many bars and clubs offered to them in and around the city of Bristol. Armed with only a guitarist/vocalist (Tom Peck), bassist (Alex Beckley) and drummer (Ethan Holloway), the arrangement of the band is simple, yet amplified through the high energy of their performances, the commitment that they have to their music and their odd personalities.
Having known each other since secondary school, Astral Planes have a long, established connection that shines through in their music and their attitude towards their craft. What started off as a few sessions in college using a small practice space in Alex’s village, has now become a multitude of public performances and consistent, self-produced, single releases. A band that doesn’t take themselves too seriously, Astral Planes is just a group of guys enjoying what they do.
Astral Planes is currently working on releasing singles with the intention of bringing them together and creating their first album across a variety of streaming platforms. The band is also performing at a wide variety of venues in and around Bristol, as well as places more local to their hometown.
